Sita
“While living in India with my family
in a village near the Bangladesh border,
with the nearest hospital (or sad excuse
for one) 45 minutes away, I was surrounded
by women who choose natural child birth.
As a 12 year old girl, I started assisting
my mother at home births; I didn’t
fully understand the importance of our
role: being doulas and birth attendants
for women and witnessing their special,
amazing day.
At 19, I had my first child, a beautiful
boy, born at home with my family and midwives.
It was then that I realized how special
and amazing it was. As a woman I feel
obligated to share what I have learned
with those who are entering the mothering
cycle…and to make sure all women
have an Amazing experience.”
